GPX
GPS eXchange Format or GPX, is a common GPS data
format used to describe waypoints,
tracks, and routes. Location data (and optionally elevation, time, and
other information) is stored in tags and can be interchanged between GPS
devices and software (Wikipedia).

GPX file format support is currently in beta status. Known limitations include
- no elevation compensation
- no time track extraction
- no handling of auxillary information
